ÖMER MATLI PRIMARY SCHOOL

The construction of the current school building was started in early 1993 by the late philanthropist ÖMER MATLI. The construction of the building was completed at the end of 1993. At that time, upon the need for higher education in the district, it was allocated to Uludağ University (to open Karacabey Vocational School) for 3 years as a result of various correspondences with the letter dated March 10, 1995, and numbered 2103 of the General Directorate of Primary Education based on the letter dated December 15, 1994, and numbered 49115 of Bursa Provincial Directorate of National Education.

As of the 1999-2000 academic year, it was transferred to the Ministry of National Education and started to serve as Ömer Matlı Primary School. Ayten Fidan Cemalettin Özçelik, Emin Zafer Bircan, Assistant Principal Erol Parik, Hasan Argın and Şakir Ekil were the first permanent teachers of the school. Its founding director was Mustafa Kemal Yazar. Ömer Matlı Primary School provided regular education for 2 years and switched to dual education in the 2001-2002 academic year. The school was repaired in the summer semester of 2001, and the Provincial Directorate of National Education completed the building.

The wishes of Özer and Önder MATLI, the sons of our beloved philanthropist Ömer MATLI, to build the additional building in the most suitable place without narrowing the existing school garden to provide 100% support to education were evaluated, and the necessary documents were delivered to them by the District Director of National Education Mr. Hasan Turhan on November 25, 2004. The groundbreaking ceremony of the annex building was held on Monday, December 13, 2004.
On July 15, 2004, the protocol was prepared with 8 classrooms and on February 24, 2005, it was revised as an additional building with 16 classrooms and the educational capacity of the school was increased. The construction of the annex building was completed in September 2005. Today, the school continues to operate in a single building.
